We manufacture a voice alerting device with up to 8 audio messages, which are triggered from individual discrete inputs, and output these messages into the aircraft audio system. The device allows for repeated messages and message priority, as well as providing a mute function to skip messages. Our current products include: AP9116 - Automated Voice Alerting Device.
AP9116 Automated Voice Alerting Device (AVAD)
MJ Engineerings Automated Voice Advisory Device (AVAD), part number AP9116, is a 28V powered module storing up to 8 user definable audio messages or tones. The module consists of ten discrete inputs, two audio outputs, a discrete status output, plus an RS232 maintenance interface. The Module can be programmed either by the manufacturer or the integrator to contain up to eight messages or tones which can then be prioritised in terms of message priority, number of repeats and ground or air mode. At times of high audio traffic the current message can be muted by the pilot. The discrete inputs can be configured for either active Hi or active Lo operation.
